Alliance shock 9z while FaZe dominate 3DMAX at XSE Pro League day four

The fourth day of competition at the XSE Pro League wrapped up with three squads booking their tickets to the playoffs and an equal number heading home.

PARIVISION kicked off proceedings with a three-map triumph over MIBR, locking in their playoff qualification with a 3-1 standing. The day's biggest surprise came when Alliance took down IEM Cologne quarter-finalists 9z in straight maps, delivering an unexpected result.

The final bout of the evening stretched until nearly 3 a.m. local time, featuring Nemesis edging out EYEBALLERS in a nail-biting series that required triple overtime on the deciding map.

In the 1-2 bracket, the highly anticipated showdown between FaZe and 3DMAX turned into a one-way street. Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken's squad steamrolled to a 2-0 victory, surrendering merely six rounds across both maps.

Elsewhere, B8 kept their tournament hopes alive with a clean 2-0 sweep of Chinese representatives Lynn Vision. BIG eliminated Ninjas in Pyjamas in a closely contested 2-1 series.

Day five promises compelling matchups, highlighted by a South American derby between MIBR and 9z. The teams last clashed in January during FiRe CONTER Season 1, where the Brazilian roster defeated 9z twice in group play.

FaZe aims to extend their winning streak to three matches while seeking redemption against EYEBALLERS for their January defeat at BLAST Bounty. The remaining fixture features BIG versus B8, a rematch of their Cologne Major Stage 2 encounter where the Ukrainian side prevailed in three maps.
