The tournament organizer FRAG has revealed plans to bring back their compact single-day LAN competition format under the One TAP banner. This marks a shift in their event strategy as they move away from their regular Jersey series.
The inaugural monthly event is scheduled for August 1st and will take place at the TAP Esports Center located in University City. This venue previously hosted FRAG TAP Reloaded back in May, making it a familiar location for the community.
These new One TAP events will be non-VRS tournaments, offering a more streamlined competition format. The organizer has confirmed that teams competing in the August edition can battle for a prize pool reaching up to $1500.
The decision to launch this series means FRAG will be stepping away from hosting their typical Jersey events at Rowan University's Localhost venue. Instead, they're consolidating their efforts at the Philadelphia location, providing a consistent home base for their monthly competitive gatherings.
This format change appears designed to offer more frequent competitive opportunities for teams while maintaining accessibility through the single-day structure. Players and fans can expect these monthly competitions to become a regular fixture on the calendar moving forward.
